Video Tape in the most common formats have been around since the late Seventies.
The rated life of tape if stored correctly is between 10 and 30 years.
Tape also suffers the risk of being recorded over.
Getting your valuable memories onto DVD is very important.
Top Left is a VHS tape. We also are able to convert Super VHS, this is video Quality
not far under that of Digital DVD specification
Most tapes could have been recorded in normal or slow speed.
Below is the Compact VHS format that fitted into an adaptor to enable play
in a normal VHS player. They come in 45 minute lengths but could also be recorded on
long play or 90 minutes.
Lower Left is the Betamax Format. Running times are not easy so I
have included a table below.
Finally lower Right is the 8mm Tape from Sony. Later it became Hi-8
as it contained Hi Fi Sound quality. It also was able to record in slow speed.
Charges are based on the content on the Original Tape in one hour
amounts or part of an hour.
There are Two choices of Presentation and features to Chose from.
A Straight Copy as shown Top Right or Full
Production as in the Full sized DVD cover on Right Centre.
It has an Introduction Sequence, Motion Menus for Chapters and Scenes.
